The Gateway Award Program is available to first-time freshmen students. Information about the Gateway Award Program can be found at http://www.ohio.edu/admissions/gateway/.
The minimum requirements do not apply to a number of endowed or restricted scholarships. In addition, students entering the College of Fine Arts must contact the appropriate Fine Arts Scholarship Committee to schedule an audition or portfolio review if necessary.
You will automatically be considered for freshman scholarships by virtue of applying for admission via the freshman application for admission. Because many scholarships also require verification of financial need, all scholarship applicants are strongly encouraged to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) by February 15th. In addition, those interested in freshman scholarships are required to:
- furnish valid ACT/SAT scores to the Office of Admissions,
- have a high school transcript filed with the Office of Admissions, and
- be admitted to Ohio University.
All of these requirements have to be completed no later than February 1st.
