The Office of Student Financial Aid and Scholarships at Ohio University makes every effort to keep financial aid recipients informed of policies and procedures. Almost all financial aid information (including notices about award letters, verification, and revisions to aid packages) is communicated to students via their official Ohio University OAK e-mail accounts. Therefore, it is very important for your student to check OAK e-mail regularly.

Please note: Incoming freshmen receive paper Award Letters via First-Class Mail. We begin mailing Freshmen Award Letters around April 1. Once Bobcat Student Orientation starts in the summer and a student has activated his or her OAK e-mail account, subsequent award letters notices will be sent electronically to the student’s Ohio University OAK e-mail account.
