Appealing Disciplinary Action or Termination
If a student is disciplined or discharged from a department, the student has the right to appeal in accordance with the following procedure:

The student makes a written appeal to the Administrative Head of the employing department.
The department head holds a meeting within three working days to discuss the appeal.

The student makes a written appeal to the OSFAS.
The appropriate Student Financial Aid Administrator holds a meeting within three working days to discuss the appeal.

The student makes a written appeal to the Student Employment Appeals Committee.
The Committee holds a meeting within three working days and makes a recommendation to the Vice-President for Administration (or his/her designee) within three working days after hearing the appeal.
Every effort should be made to resolve the problem at each step of the appeal process.
